Privacy Policy
What personal data are gathered?
1. To ensure basic functionality of this application, your email address is necessary. Email address
serves as username for your user account and makes it possible to refresh forgotten password
(the password recovery function will be added soon).
2. Optionally you can add your name to your user account. Your name will be used to indicate the
printable version of your pilot logbook.
No other personal information is needed nor gathered by the application.
How personal data is obtained?
Your email address and optionally name are received via form input which you fill up during the process
of user account creation. Alternatively, your name can be added later in your user profile
(also via filling up the form).
There is no automatic or hidden personal information gathering in the application.
Where personal data are stored?
All personal information that you provide to this application are stored in a secured database on
the hosting server (pythonanywhere.com). Database access is secured by password.
Who operates your personal data?
Your personal data is operated solely by the author of this application and never will be shared with anybody else.
How is your personal data used?
Your personal data is used by the Pilot Logbook application to ensure its functionality and
to enable its services. Your data remains exclusively in the database of application and never will be
provided to third parties.
How long your personal data is stored?
Your personal data is stored in the application database as long as your user account exists. Once you
delete your user account (via your user profile page), all your personal information will be permanently deleted.

What cookies are?
In general cookies are small text files that a web server generates and sends to a web browser. Web browsers store
the cookies they receive for a predetermined period of time, or for the length of a user's session on a website.
Cookies help inform websites about the user, enabling the websites to personalize the user experience.
What cookies are used by the Pilot Logbook application?
This application uses only technical kind of cookies. These cookies are necessary for application functionality
and can not be disabled. The only cookie that the application uses is called session cookie. Thanks to this
session cookie file you are able to login to your user account and use the application as a registered user.
This cookie file remains in your browser until you logout the application, or until you close the browser window.
In case of inactivity, the session cookie is removed after 20 minutes.
Terms of Use
Pilot Logbook application is free to use. It gives you digital space, where you can log your aviation activities
without any limitation.
Server database is periodically backed up. However it is strongly recommended to save your logged data in another
safe place too to prevent potential data loss due to an unexpected technical issue on the server side.
Author of the application is not responsible for potential loss of data.
